She enjoys exercising Taichi as it allows her gently exercise her muscles anywhere and anytime. She also enjoys every slow and graceful movement in Taichi that enhances her harmony and resilience. She has made some new friends during her exercising Taichi. They always exercise together, followed by a cup of tea and chit-chat time afterwards.

Anita has ankylosing spondylitis. She is fascinated with a lot of hobbies to help nurture her health and body. Besides Taichi, she is also interested in regimen diet, meditation, gardening as well as Qi gong. Her motto is to stay positive and live passionately.

(In this episode, we will talk about the importance of knowing who you are to be able to show others how to treat you. We will also discover how to create new ideas about education system for people with disability, thanks to our storyteller Brooke Szucs who shares her experience and passion to be the best version of herself.
About the storyteller
Brooke is a student of cultures and languages (Hons) at the University of Queensland with a keen interest in Student Representation, especially as it relates to diversity and the impact of inclusive student voices. Brooke is interested in using her communication, organisation, and evaluation skills to support innovative higher education programs that promote better student outcomes and foster diversity that will always fight for justice and equality.
Brooke is a student who has never been 'traditional' due to her diverse identities, she initially struggled in the academic and professional space due to a lack of support, acceptance and opportunity.
Being neurodiverse and having lived abroad, she really understands the feeling of being an outsider or not being included. The positive of this is finding a solution through her experience and her passion for education, language, international culture, diversity and inclusion.

(In this episode, Baran speaks of her love for music and the way it elevates her soul. She worked hard to complete her degree in Psychology and got a job with Lifeline. Alongside her professional work, Baran continues to pursue music and has become an accomplished pianist.

(Tracy is a volunteer in Vision Australia. In this episode, she shares with us a free communication platform available in Vision Australia - Telelink, and how this platform links visually impaired or loss vision clients together for a facilitated group session either via the phone or through video conferencing. By joining Telelink, people with low or no vision can connect with like-minded people across a wide range of interest areas and languages in different states in Australia. It is a gateway to communicate, share their hobbies, exchange information and develop social networks. Tracy also talks about the inclusive social programs and resources available in Vision Australia, such as workshops to frontline health care people and carers, helping them to better understand and support people with vision impairment.

(The guest speaker is working in a client service team from vision Australia who will talk about the Employment Assitance program. This program is accessible for people with disability who are not even eligible for NDIS. She said they connect their clients to the mainstream services and helped them to find jobs according to their needs. The guest speaker will talk about the process that the clients need to go through to access this program. If they have a certain set of skills and seeking jobs then Vision Australia helps their clients to develop their interview skills through training and participation in mock interviews and by meeting with quality employers to find out what they look for in their employees. If any clients need more skills to fulfill the job criteria then they can develop a skills list individually, with another person, or by using online resources. Finding a job that’s right for the clients can be very rewarding and an important part of living the life they choose. It provides financial security, builds social and professional networks, and helps boost knowledge and skills.

Anushka Singh is an Ambassador from the Blind Sports and Recreation Victoria (BSRV). Anushka will talk about how she supports clients get through sports and recreation activities based on their needs and interests. She talks about the process of how her clients can enrol in a diverse range of activities in which clients can take part in the sport or recreation activity of their choice with other seniors, adults, teens, or kids who are blind or vision impaired. She says the programs help people of all abilities - from beginners through to more experienced and elite athletes - to improve their physical health, while also strengthening their social connections. Anushka also emphasises that they support all people, regardless of their ability, religion, age, gender, cultural background, sexual orientation, or economic circumstances.
