Sevil, göçmen veya mülteci ailelerin çocuklarının, Avustralyaya ayak bastiktan sonra ilk olarak İngilizce öğrendikleri ve Avustralya amailli Eğitim Sistemine hazırlandıkları bir İlkokulun icinde yeralan IEC -Yoğun İngilizce Merkezi'nde 22 yıldır profesyonel İngilizce öğretmenliği yapmaktadir. Sevil, farklı dil ve kulturlerden gelen cocuklara yeni bir dil, yeni bir dünya öğretmek, bu çocuklara ulaşmak için farkli metodolojilerden ve çeşitli yeni yöntemlerden bahsedecek.

Sevil Ingilizce ogretmeni olarak calisirken, ailece 1999 yılında Türkiye'den Avustralya'ya göç etmis. Avustralya'ya geldikten sonra, göçmen ve mülteci ailelerin çocuklarının, Avstralyaya ayak bastiktan sonra ilk olarak İngilizce öğrendikleri ve Avustralya Milli Eğitim Sistemine hazırlandıkları IEC - Intensive English Centere İlköğretim Okullarinda İngilizce öğretmeni olarak çalışmaya başladı. Ve tam 22 yildir ayni okulda ayni tutku ve sevgiyle ogretmen olarak calismaktadir.
(Sevil has been a professional English teacher for 22 years in a Primary School IEC - Intensive English Centre - where children of migrant or refugee families first learn English and prepare for the mainstream Australian Education System. She will be talking about the methods and various new approaches she uses to teach children a new language, to introduce them to a new world from their own different cultural background.
About the guest speaker
Sevil and her family migrated to Australia in 1999 from Turkey where she had been working as an English Teacher. After she arrived to Australia, she started to work as an English teacher in Primary School IEC - Intensive English Centre - where children of migrant or refugee families first learn English and prepare for Mainstream in Australian Education System. She will be talking about the methodologies and various new aspects she uses to teach all children (including those who have disabilities) a new language, and introduce them to a new world from a different cultural background. Sevil has been working in same primary school since 22 years now in great love and passion.
