Pablo Fernández Peñas es profesor de Dermatología en la Facultad de Medicina de Sydney (Universidad de Sydney) y médico principal (académico) en el Hospital Westmead. (Our skin is the largest organ in our body. There are many Australians who suffer from a long-term condition of the skin that can have an impact on their physical health as well as their self-esteem, mental health and wellbeing.
Dermatologists are specialist medical doctors. They are the specialists in conditions of the skin, hair and nails. They are able to diagnose, treat and manage more than 3,000 skin conditions. Dermatologists help people with conditions like psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, acne, alopecia, skin infections and skin cancer.
Dr Pablo Fernandez Penas, who is a Fellow of The Australasian College of Dermatologists, the training and peak membership organisation for specialist dermatologists in Australia. He will be sharing some helpful information for people with skin conditions so they can improve their wellbeing.

About the guest speaker
Pablo Fernández Peñas is Professor in Dermatology at Sydney Medical School (The University of Sydney), and Senior Medical Practitioner (Academic) at Westmead Hospital. He was appointed Head of the Department of Dermatology at Westmead Hospital in 2010, and Director of the Centre for Translational Skin Research in 2017. At the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia, he has been the Head of Education (2011-15) and Head of Research (2008-2018).
