About the storyteller
Como estudiante de culturas e idiomas (con honores) en la Universidad de Queensland con un gran interés en la Representación Estudiantil, especialmente en lo que se refiere a la diversidad y el impacto de las voces inclusivas de los estudiantes. Brooke está interesada en utilizar sus habilidades de comunicación, organización y evaluación para apoyar programas innovadores de educación superior que promuevan mejores resultados estudiantiles y fomenten la diversidad que siempre luchará por la justicia y la igualdad.
Brooke es una estudiante que nunca ha sido 'tradicional' debido a sus identidades cruzadas, inicialmente luchó en la academia y el espacio profesional debido a la falta de apoyo, aceptación y oportunidad.
Siendo neurodiversa y habiendo vivido en el extranjero, realmente entiende la sensación de ser una extraña o no ser incluida. Lo positivo de esto es encontrar una solución a través de su experiencia y pasión por la educación, el idioma, la cultura internacional, la diversidad y la inclusión.

(In this episode, we will talk about the importance of knowing who you are to be able to show others how to treat you. We will also discover how to create new ideas about education system for people with disability, thanks to our storyteller Brooke Szucs who shares her experience and passion to be the best version of herself.
About the storyteller
Brooke is a student of cultures and languages (Hons) at the University of Queensland with a keen interest in Student Representation, especially as it relates to diversity and the impact of inclusive student voices. Brooke is interested in using her communication, organisation, and evaluation skills to support innovative higher education programs that promote better student outcomes and foster diversity that will always fight for justice and equality.
Brooke is a student who has never been 'traditional' due to her diverse identities, she initially struggled in the academic and professional space due to a lack of support, acceptance and opportunity.
Being neurodiverse and having lived abroad, she really understands the feeling of being an outsider or not being included. The positive of this is finding a solution through her experience and her passion for education, language, international culture, diversity and inclusion.
