El Museo de Melbourne, ubicado en Carlton Gardens, es un museo de historia natural y cultural repleto de exposiciones interesantes. Es un lugar para la curiosidad, el aprendizaje y la diversión. El Museo de Melbourne trata de acomodar a todos. Cuenta con baños accesibles para sillas de ruedas, teatros y salas de exhibición, programas apropiados para personas con autismo y condicinoes adaptaciones necesarias para personas ciegas o sordas. Hoy Rocca Salcedo compartirá su experiencia visitando el Museo.

Rocca Salcedo es una mujer de 46 años a la que le gusta viajar por el mundo y Victoria, Australia. Ella encontró en los deportes y los viajes la manera de conectarse con nuevas personas y compartir tiempo con amigos descubriendo novedosos lugares. Ella también hace ejercicio desde hace muchos años y, durante los últimos tres años, creó un grupo llamado Baila y Rueda para bailar en silla de ruedas. El 30 de septiembre de 2021, el gobierno de Victoria otorgó el Premio del Ministro al liderazgo destacado. Ella dice que ser reconocida por el proyecto la ha cambiado. “Hice un sueño realidad con este proyecto, no pensé que tendría tan buena acogida”.
(Melbourne Museum, located in the Carlton Gardens, is a natural and cultural history museum filled with interesting exhibitions. It is a place for curiosity, learning and fun. The Melbourne Museum tries to accommodate everyone. It has wheelchair accessible bathrooms, theatres and exhibition rooms, Autism friendly programs and adjustments for people who are blind or deaf. Today Rocca Salcedo will share her experience visiting the Museum.
About the storyteller
Rocca Salcedo is 46 year old woman who enjoys travelling around the world and Victoria, Australia. She found in sports and travelling the way to connect with new people and share time with friends discovering new places. She also has been exercising for many year, and, during the last three years, she created a para-dance group called Dance & Roll. On September 30, 2021, the Victorian government awarded the Minister's Award for outstanding leadership. She says being recognised for the project has changed her. "I made a dream come true with this project; I didn't think it would have such a great reception."
