Yasmin nació con una miopía severa y ha estado buscando alternativas contra la miopía porque no puede ver la luz del sol directamente.
Para ella no es fácil vestir con ropa blanca y estar alrededor de paredes blancas es retador, esto le producen brillo y molesta a su vision. A pesar de eso, disfruta de la vida visitando las playas locales de la ciudad de Perth para disfrutar del verano con la ayuda de algunos amigos. Los amigos de Yasmin los conoció en la iglesia.
La iglesia, sus amigos y las salidas al aire libre son las luces que ella ha encontrado para salir de la oscuridad.
About the storyteller
Yasmin Cruz una Colombiana, madre, amiga y una mujer que sabe como vivir bien con una descapacidad.
(Yasmin was born severely nearsighted and has been looking for alternatives to manage her nearsightedness because she cannot see directly in sunlight. It is not easy for her to wear white clothes and being around white walls is challenging, as the glare interferes with her vision. Despite that, she enjoys life by visiting her local city of Perth, especially in summer where she loves visiting beaches with the help of some friends she met through church. Church, her friends, and enjoying social outings are the bright sparks of joy that have lit her way out of the darkness.
