(For culturally diverse people with disabilities, swimming can be a fantastic physical and social activity. To teach people to swim safely, Logan City Council offers three inclusive swimming programs: the Swim Logan program, the Aqua English Project and the ECCQ – Water Safety Workshop.
Logan City Council has five aquatic centres located in Beenleigh, Bethania, Kingston, Underwood and Hillcrest, and all of these venues accommodate people with disabilities.
About the guest speaker
Today we are joined by Elise Daw from Logan City Council. Elise oversees the Swim Logan program for the City of Logan, which includes a partnership with The Aqua English Project and Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland.
