A través de esta entrevista tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer el trabajo realizado por Virginia Villarino por medio de la organización The Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW. Virginia es una de las muchas personas que desde MDAA ayudan a las personas como defensores. Virginia representa a MDAA en la comunidad hispana pero existen otros de los defensores que hablan diferentes idiomas.
Esta organización se encarga de capacitar a personas que viven con discapacidades para empoderarlos y de esta manera estas personas puedan resolver problemas de la vida cotidiana y tomar sus propias desiciones.
About the guest speaker
Virginia Villarino es una mujer amante de la naturaleza, inicio sus estudios como Bióloga Marina y al mudarse a Australia desde Argentina decidió cambiar de carrera y fue cuando entro en el mundo del asesoramiento a personas que viven con discapacidades. A través de esta entrevista conocimos a una mujer sensible que ama ayudar al prójimo y es por esto que ademas de trabajar en MDAA empoderando a la comunidad también ofrece su tiempo como voluntaria apoyando a las personas a que encuentren y se conecten con el mundo espiritual.
(Through this interview we had the opportunity to learn about the work carried out by Virginia Villarino through the organisation The Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW. Virginia is one of the many people at MDAA who help people as advocates. Virginia represents MDAA in the Hispanic community but there are other advocates who speak different languages. This organisation is responsible for training people living with disabilities to empower them and in this way these people can solve problems of everyday life and make their own decisions.
About the guest speaker
Virginia Villarino is a woman who loves nature, she began her studies as a Marine Biologist and when she moved to Australia from Argentina she decided to change careers and that's when she entered the world of advising people living with disabilities. Through this interview we met a sensitive woman who loves helping others and that is why, in addition to working at MDAA empowering the Community, she also offers her time as a volunteer supporting people to find and connect with the spiritual world.
