다채로움이 행복한 삶의 비결 (Variety is the Spice of my Life)

노래를 좋아하는 오현 씨는 지역 사회 참여 활동의 하나로 주말에 교회에서 특송을 합니다. 사람들은 오현 씨의 노래를 좋아하고, 청중들의 좋은 반응은 오현 씨도 즐겁게 합니다. 에벤에젤 미션에서 제공하는 다양한 활동 역시 오현 씨의 행복한 일상에 큰 도움이 됩니다. 포마(Fabrics of Multicultural Australia)에서 주최한 휠체어 패션쇼는 코로나 때문에 아쉽게 참석할 수 없었지만, 한국 고유 의상을 입고 모델 사진을 촬영한 것은 런웨이에 서는 것만큼 즐거운 기억으로 남았습니다. 

About the storyteller

지적 장애와 뇌성 마비를 갖고 살아가는 오현 씨는 다양한 사회활동을 통해 지역사회 일원으로 살고 있습니다. 어릴 때부터 노래 부르는 걸 좋아했던 오현 씨가 요즘 BTS의 노래를 가장 좋아합니다.

Oh-hyun enjoys singing and performs music of praise at her local churches as part of her community engagement program. People love listening to her songs, and the enthusiastic audience also makes her excited. A variety of activities provided by Ebenezer Mission is also key to Oh-hyun's living well. While she could not make it to the 2020 FOMA (Fabrics of Multicultural Australia) Fashion Show in a wheelchair due to COVID-19, she had an opportunity to pose as a model wearing her cultural dress. It was as memorable as appearing on the runway.

About the storyteller

Oh-hyun lives with intellectual disability and cerebral palsy. Through various social activities, she participates as part of her community. Oh-hyun has been enjoying singing from her early years and her favourite song these days is the BTS's.
