Sydney is a vibrant city with a wealth of historical tourist attractions. There are parks, libraries, swimming pools, community centres, and gyms for residents and visitors to enjoy. In this interview, our host James Liao and Mary Liang, Policy and Program Development Officer from the City of Sydney Council will share information about how the City of Sydney supports accessibility and inclusive programs for people with disabilities.
About the guest speaker
Our guest speaker today is Mary Liang. Mary is deeply motivated by the vision of an equitable, accessible and inclusive society for all community members, regardless of their gender, age, cultural background or ability. She is an ally and comes from a multicultural background.
Mary is a community policy and project professional with over 10 years of experience. She is a policy and program development officer with the City of Sydney Council. She is also on the board of the Diversity and Disability Alliance, a peer-led disability support organisation to include people with disability to share their collective lived experiences.
