(Everyone has a right to be a part of their community, to be welcome in community spaces, and take part in events and activities. In our previous episode, we learned about self-advocacy and individual capacity building programs offered by Carers Queensland. Today, we will explore more programs focusing on social and community engagement.
About the guest speaker
In this interview, we are joined by Carol MacArthur from Carers Queensland. Carol is part of Carers Queensland’s NDIS Local Area Coordination Partner in the Community program. They help people with disability to use the NDIS, to be involved members of their community, and live with dignity and control. Carol works on projects that help people with disability participate more actively in their communities.
