بدأت الجمعية بتقديم هذا البرنامج في سنة 2020 بالتعاون مع جمعيات أخرى وبإشراف مجلس التنوع الثقافي في جنوب أستراليا Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia
يهدف البرنامج لدعم الأفراد من ذوي الإعاقة ولنشر التوعية حول الخدمات المتوفرة لهم ولجميع سكان جنوب أستراليا.

How do new arrivals support each other at the beginning of their settlement in Australia? In this episode, Rateb Elkhalil shares his role as a volunteer with “Australians for Syria South Australia”. Rateb helps the new arrivals from the Syrian Community to gain familiarity with their rights and obligations. He also contributes to strengthen a positive outlook among the community towards people with disabilities.
About the guest speaker
Rateb Alkhalil works as a volunteer with the association “Australians for Syria South Australia” through the program Cultural Connections in Disability. The association started offering this program in 2020 together with other community organisations and under the leadership of the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia. The program aims to raise awareness about services available to the South Australian community including people with disabilities.
